Dual Enrollment
TMSA students have the opportunity to earn college credit while completing their high school diploma through dual enrollment partnerships with local colleges and universities.
Through the Career & College Promise (CCP) Program at Wake Technical Community College, students may choose a Career and Technical Education (CTE) or College Transfer (CT) pathway aligned with their academic and career goals. In addition, eligible students may also take approved courses from partner institutions, including NC State University, UNC-Chapel Hill, Duke University, and the NC School of Science and Mathematics (NCSSM).
Participation in dual enrollment allows students to experience the rigor and responsibility of college-level coursework while remaining active members of their TMSA school community. Students must meet established academic and testing criteria, maintain a strong GPA, and uphold TMSA’s academic and behavioral expectations.
All courses must be pre-approved by the principal, align with the student’s overall plan of study, and offer opportunities not currently available within the school’s curriculum. Students and families are responsible for registration, fees, and transportation to the cooperating institution.
Through these partnerships, TMSA empowers motivated learners to accelerate their education, explore advanced fields of study, and prepare confidently for college and future careers.
